Save Thousands With These Free Rapid Analytical Reading Tips
Rapid Analytical Reading, developed by Arvin Vohra Education (AVE), has become the dominant speed reading method for complex reading material. Although the Rapid Analytical Reading method is effective, it is also expensive to learn. AVEs seminars cost hundreds of dollars, and its individual tutorials can run in the thousands. AVE has not announced any plans to publish any books or other low cost training materials.

However, before you lose hope or rob a bank, try some of the tips here. Most of Rapid Analytical Reading is based on simple principles. If you can master these techniques, you will be well on your way to learning Rapid Analytical Reading without spending a cent!

Rapid Analytical Reading involves reading words in groups, rather than single words. Heres how to get started. Break each line of text into two halves. Look at the left half first, and then the right half. Your eyes should move only twice on each line. Do that until you can read comfortably doing that. This should take about a month of daily practice.

Once youve gotten comfortable with that, just look down the middle of the line. Your eyes wont move to the left or right at all. Instead your eyes will move down the page.

When you first start practicing, practice with text with narrow columns, such as a newspaper. Once you are comfortable with that, move onto text with wider colums.

Rapid Analytical Reading uses sentence structure to extract information. For each sentence, find the subject and the main verb. If you know how to diagram sentences, practice diagramming a few sentences from the texts you are reading. Once you are comfortable doing that, start putting the two parts together. When you are reading groups of words, try and spot the main verb. Once you are comfortable doing that, try to find both the main verb and the main subject. And if you can do that, add the direct object. At that point, you will be seeing the grammatical structure of the sentence quickly, and your mind can start to put the information in as it should be.
