A great picture of the Mi Amigo in 1974, newly painted and looking rather nice. Notice the lattice tower which was designed by Andy Archer on a bit of napkin while out for a meal. He had never designed an antenna before but it lasted quite a while before it crumbled into the sea. This is an EXCLUSIVE picture for this website hope you like it radio fans.

A DTI Employee takes photographs at Simon Barrats' court case in the mid 70s. Barrat had earlier been charged with offences under the Wireless Telegraphy Act and the MOA when the Mi Amigo lost her anchor and drifted into terrortorial waters. Barrat along with the rest of the 4 man dj crew had been unknowingly broadcasting while WITHIN British Waters.

The Jannine home of the most fun packed Off Shore station Radio Atlantis, this picture was taken in mid 74 and the ship was in the process of being re-painted. A flat North Sea and and less sea sickness for the jocks. According to Dave Owen (ex Atlantis dj) this ship really did Rock and Roll quite a bit due to it not having been ballasted properly.
