Draft Itinerary : 5Days4Nights

 

Day1(13/01/07 Night) : KLIA - Kota Kinabalu Town- Citytour (L,D)

-          Meet at KLIA/Johor airport (5.00am) before fly to KK town.

-          Arrive at Kota Kinabalu International Airport(around 10.00am), pick up from KK airport. Check in to your hostel.

-          After Lunch, city tour begins with a visit to Signal Hill for an overview of the city and the Marine Park, through Likas residential area to photo stop at the Sabah Foundation Building and the Poh Toh Tse Buddhist Temple. Visit the State Mosque and the State Museum (closed on Fridays) and finally the hawker stalls at Tanjung Aru Beach before returning to your hostel.

-          Stay at KK town’s hostel.

 

Day 2(14/01/07) : Island Tour-KK Park HQ (B,L,D)

-          Pick up from city hostel and transfer to Jetty for about 15-20 minutes boat ride to Tunku Abdul Rahman Park Islands(Sapi, Mamutik & Manukan Islands). The Tunku Abdul Rahman Park is a snorkeling, diving and even jungle walking sanctuary.

-          An escorted tour and a chance to visit 3 beautiful islands in one day; Sapi, Mamutik & Manukan Islands boast of its magnificent surroundings and crystal clear waters that will entice the young, adventurous and even romantics.

-          After dinner(5.30pm), transfer to KK park HQ for climbing pre-registration.

-          Stay at KK park HQ Hostel.

 

Day 3(15/01/07) : Kinabalu Park – Laban Rata (B, Packed Lunch, D)

-          8.30am, transfer to Mersilau Gate (1,830m/ 6,000 ft) to begin the trek with your mountain guide. This takes about 5-7 hours, with time out to look at the views, birds, animals, soil and rocks of the various vegetation zones up to Laban Rata Resthouse. (3,272.2m / 10,700ft)

-          Dinner at Laban Rata at 7.00pm.

-          Stay at Laban Rata Hostel.

 

Day 4(16/01/07) : Laban Rata – Summit – Kota Kinabalu Town (B,L,D)

-          Begin final ascent at 2.00am to greet the dawn at the summit (6.00am). The stupendous view to be had at 4,095.2m/ 13,432ft before the clouds rise is well worth the previous days exertions; on a clear day, one could almost see all of Sabah.

-          Breakfast at the Rest house before descending to Timpohon Gate. Check -out and start trekking down to the Timpohon Gate. Transfer back to park HQ to collect your very own Certificate of KK HQ.

-          Enjoying and Relaxing yourself at Poring Hot Spring(1 hour), then rest and take a dip to soak away the sores and aches in the sulfuric minerals of this spring which the local claim have curative powers.  

-          Transfer back to KK town for dinner and stay at KK town hostel.

 

Day 5(17/01/07) : Kinabalu Park – KK Airport – KLIA (B)                                

-          After breakfast, Check out at 8.00am.  

-          Transfer to KK Airport for flight at 10.00am and fly back to KILA at 12.30pm. Bye bye!

P/S : Above Date and Package price is the initial draft, we still waiting the confirmation from Sabah National Park for the KK summit Hostel booking. Those are interested and flexible, please confirmed to me immediately, we are base on who First come First serve. Limit to 20 ppl ONLY.(one confirmed, Deposit RM 600 need to be paid for secure the seats)
