Contradictions
by Karen A. Freeman
|
|
One moment I am unpredictable,
reacting with spontaneity to everything.
| | The next I am following a strict
standard set for me as a child. |
|
Sometimes with my children
I am care-free, playing and laughing.
So free from worry and responsibility
that I become like them, lively,
simple and a smart-aleck.
| | In a fraction of a second, I grow up. Feeling pressured. proper,
tired and angry. I realize I have responsibilities to live up to
and work to do. |
I am like two different people. |
