Our school closed Wednesday with the following program rendered on Wednesday evening.

Mr. Oscar Sparks and Mr. Kelly Moss made a business trip to Provencal Friday, and on their way back the team ran away and broke up the wagon considerably.

November 17, 1922

Mr. Oscar Sparks has purchased a new flivver. Look out girls, who will get the first ride.

BURIAL: John Foshee

BURIAL:   John R. Foshee, 77, of Robeline, died Sunday, Jan. 2.

BURIAL:   Services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at Provencal First Baptist
Church. The Rev. Philton Mercer officiated. Burial was in Becky
Murray Cemetery, with Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Many, in
charge.

BURIAL:   Surviving are his widow; two sons, Wilmer Foshee, Thibodeaux,
and Jewel Foshee, Rochester, N. Y.; eight grandchildren, and one
great grandchild.


276. John Preston FOSHEE

BURIAL: Preston Foshee

BURIAL:   Funeral services for Preston Foshee, age 26, who passed away May
20, were conducted at the residence of John Foshee at 2 p.m., May
21, with Rev. Noah King officiating. Interment was in the family
cemetery, under the direction of Warren Funeral Home.

BURIAL:   Pallbearers were Bob, and Med Miller, Oscar Foshee, Billy
Ogihive, Ronnie, and Billy Montgomery.

BURIAL:   Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Foshee of Robeline;
three brothers, Euell of Raceland, Jewel of New York, Wilma of
Thibodeaux.

Mrs. Losyer O. Reece

 Funeral services for Mrs. Losyer O. Reece, 82, of Robeline, were
held at the Central Baptist Church on Monday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m.
The Rev. Earl Marr, and the Rev. Truman Leach officiated. Burial
was in Central Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

 Mrs. Reece died at 1:40 a.m., on Sunday, Feb. 12, in Robeline.

 She is survived by her husband, Levi Reece of Robeline; one son,
Elmer Reece of Shreveport; three daughters, Myrtis Simmons, and
Vertis Leech, both of Many, and Lena Albritton of Robeline; three
brothers, Curtis Rhodes of Provencal, Marshall Rhodes of
Gatesville, Tex., and Archie Rhodes of DeBerry, Tex.; three
sisters, Rena Beason of DeBerry, Tex., May Flenniken of
Shreveport, and Auria Hall of Natchitoches; 16 grandchildren; 29
great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
