Greek Lamb Meatballs
what you need
500g minced lamb
1/2 c. breadcrumbs
1 egg, beaten
1 small onion, grated
1/4 c. mint leaves, shredded
1/4 c. feta cheese, crumbled
1 x 250g can tomatoes
2 cloves garlic
fresh basil
olive oil
salt & pepper
what you do
Combine the minced lamb, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, mint leaves and feta cheese. Add salt and
pepper to taste. Shape the mixture into balls of whatever size you like.
Fry the garlic in the olive oil for a few minutes. Add the tomatoes and basil, and simmer
until cooked. Meanwhile, fry the meatballs for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown.
Serve the meatballs with the tomato sauce, and vegetables or mashed potato.

Do not shape the mixture into balls. Press it into a greased rectangular baking tin and bake for
40 mins at 180o. Slice the meatloaf to serve when cooked.
