Navajo Fry Bread
what you need
1 c. white flour
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1 tbls sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c. honey
vegetable oil
what you do
Mix the dry ingredients. Add enough water to the dry ingredients to form a
soft dough. Mix well.
Knead the dough on a floured board till it becomes elastic. Let the dough rest
for 10 minutes, covered. Roll out until the dough is 1cm thick. Cut into
squares or circles.
Deep-fry the pieces until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Drizzle with honey and serve.
