Illustrating Absurdity in St. Albans

September 4, 2005 - It's a hard job. It's hard to be mayor. It's not easy. There are some hard decisions to make. It's very difficult. It's hard. But, rumor is, Greg Jones doesn't want to be mayor in St. Albans anymore because, the job is just too hard. To that end, I tender Exhibit A as to what may have put Greg over the edge: the beginning of the Thomas Memorial Race-Walk in St. Albans in August.  Take a close look, and you'll see that Mr. Jones has shot off the gun, and absolutely nobody is moving.  One lady behind him is plugging her ears.  Others are just staring at him with blank stares. Being mayor is hard.
