| Actually, the company behind these two sites - the Gratis Network - is seriously sending out free iPods and Flat Screen monitors and tvs to those who sign up at their sites. The catch? In order to have "signed up," you have to complete one of the sites offers. The offers consist of things such as a free AOL trial, or a free Diet Pill trial, among others. All the offers require the use of a credit card, but the easiest offers (such as the AOL free trial) can be cancelled at any time. After completing one of their offers, you have to wait a day or two for the site to 'credit' you - meaning that they ahve confirmed that you completed one of their offers. The real catch? You have to get five other people to also sign up using your referral link (which you get when you sign up). This might seem easy at first, but is actually not so easy. That's why many people have started up what are being called "conga lines" - people sign up using someones referral link, and in return, those people's referral links are in turn advertised on that person's site or message board, and they get referrals from more people signing up, and the cycle continues on and on. |

| Steps to acquiring your own free iPod or Flatscreen -You must live in the U.S. 1)Sign up by clicking my current referral link (freeipods.com,) (freeflatscreens.com) using an e-mail address you won't mind getting a little bit of spam with (I recommend getting a free e-mail account with yahoo or some other site like that). When entering information, just make sure your address is correct - you want the iPod sent to the right place. 2)There will be a short market survey - just say 'no' to everything, and it will bring you to the next step. 3)You can either skip this step, or enter some of your friend's e-mail addresses - it may or may not speed up your referral process. 4)The next step will ask you to complete one of their offers. I suggest using the free AOL trials, as you can cancel the trial at any time. After a day or two or completing the offer, the site should have confirmed that you have done so. 5)Make sure that your e-mail address is verified - click on the "My account" settings, and click the link that will send you a verification e-mail to your e-mail address that you signed up with. 6)Refer 5 different people using your referral link - in order to receive a successful referral, those five people must complete one of the offers. ***- do NOT attempt to cheat by signing up again using your referral link on your own computer - people have tried, and if the site reviews your referrals and finds that they are not unique, then no iPod for you 7)After everything is completed, they will send out your free iPod. |
