No Special Language or Preprocessing

Unlike many other object oriented databases, FreeForm OODB does not require you to model your objects in another language. In many cases using a data definition language imposes unnecessary restrictions on your objects and adds extra time to the development of your application.

FreeForm OODB only places the following restrictions upon your database objects:

  1. Your database objects can not virtually inherit from OODB_Object.
  2. Your database objects can not use virtual methods on the right-hand-side parameter of the assignment operator or copy constructor.
  3. Your database objects can not rely on the storage of heap allocated data members.
