All these treatments are worthless say mainstream doctors. The people selling them are charlatans who don't have any qualifications. They are scoundrels making money from desperate people.
Orthodox medicine says that alternative treatments waste peoples time when they should be using "proven" treatments.
They say that people advocating alternative treatments grossly exagerate the effectiveness of it.
They say that alternative treatments falsley raise peoples hopes.
They say that there are no scientific studies and clinical trials carried out to prove the efficacy of alternative treatments. There is only anecdotal evidence which is of little use.
There are of course many despicable people who advertise miracle cancer cures which are absolutely useless. There are many con-men and woman trying to sell any number of bogus products and scams which we must always be wary of, not just false cancer cures. From my research into this subject I have come across at least a dozen alternative cancer treatments that work for some people, in some cases thousands of people.
The reader should never forget that an alternative treatment that works for one person will not neccessarily work for another. The type of cancer the person has is also vitally important.
Let us take a look at the most well known alternative treatments and the people who have stated, on record, that they are effective against cancer.
Doctors and Advocates of Some Alternative Treatments.
Laetrile/Amygdalin.
In the 1970's Dr. Dean Burk was a staunch advocate for the use of Laetrile. Dr. Burk was a biochemist and was head of the Cytochemistry section of the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Burk said,
"When we add Laetrile to a cancer culture under the microscope, providing the enzyme glucosidase also is present, we can see the cancer cells dying off like flies." (Edward Griffin's "World Without Cancer" pg 117)
Below are some of Dr. Burks acolades.
Dr. Burk was one of the foremost cancer researchers in America at the time. He received the Gerhard Domagk Award for Cancer Research, the Hillebrand Award of the American Chemical Society. He was a Fellow of the National Research Council at the University of London, of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Biology, and also Harvard. As Edward Griffin says, "...If Dr. Burk says Laetrile works, it works!"
Dr. John A. Morrone of the New Jersey Medical Center, Dr. John A Richardson, Dr. Philip E. Binzel, Jr, a physician in Washington Court House who has used Laetrile successfully for over 20 years. (see his 1993 book, "Alive and Well")
West Germany's Dr. Hans Nieper. Another world famous doctor who was listed in Who's Who in World Science. During a visit to the U.S. in 1972 he stated;
"After more than twenty years of such specialized work, I have found the nontoxic Nitrilosides-that is, Laetrile-far superior to any other known cancer treatment or preventative..."
In Canada there was N.R. Bouziane, M.D., former Director of Research Laboratories at St. Jean d'Arc Hospital in Montreal. There are many other doctors in Griffins book which I wholeheartedly recommend, as I do his information packed website, www.worldwithoutcancer.com.
Also on his website are the testimony's of about a hundred people who state that Laetrile sent their cancer into remission. Many have been that way for well over five years.
Hoxsey Method
The Hoxsey method is a herbal remedy which boosts the immune system and helps to detoxify the body. There are also different pastes used on external tumors. The documentary, "Hoxsey-How Healing Becomes a Crime" is outstanding and gives the viewer a good overall history of the Hoxsey treatment. Many thousands of people say that the treamtnet cured their cancer in the last 70 some years. Mildred Nelson ran the Hoxsey Bio-Med clinic in Tijuana Mexico for over thirty years and by all accounts was a very caring, humanitarian who worked with her patients one-on-one.
There is also a book (which I have not read)recently published about the Hoxsey treatment written by the director of the video, entitled, "When Healing Becomes a Crime."
