The AMA has a long history of corruption. Morris Fishbein was chief editor of JAMA, (1920's/1950's) the Journal of the American Medical Association. Fishbein was a despicable man who was only interested in making as much money for himself as possible. Pharmaceutical company's had to pay the advertising rates that he set for JAMA publications. He didn't give a damn if their products were of any medicinal value. For about three decades Fishbien ruled the health agenda in the US. He destroyed the cancer treatments of such brilliant men as Royal Raymond Rife, Dr. Max Gerson and fought for over twenty years with Hoxsey.
The AMA is exactly the same way today, completely beholden to the pharmaceutical company's. Their main source of money comes from advertising revenue from their various medical journals. The AMA is also instrumental in the selection of the commissioner of the FDA. The AMA/FDA/ACS collaborate in identifying and persecuting doctors recommending any cancer treatment that isn't approved by them; meaning man-made patentable drugs.
On February 6, 1973, two former chairman and 1 vice chair of the AMA's council on drugs testified before Congress and said that the AMA was, quote, "a captive of and beholden to the pharmaceutical industry." In 1987 the AMA was found guilty of conspiring for 20 years to destroy the profession of chiropractitioners.
