Kakadu Tour
A selection of pictures from our 3 day tour of Kakadu National Park in Australia's Northern Territory. The nine of us met scary crocs, a couple of snakes, a frilled lizard and a very hairy tour guide!

The tour started with the chance to see a 3 year old saltwater crocodile up close, and for each of us to hold him! A boat trip up the Adelaide River to see larger 'salties' in the wild.

Our tour guide, Pat, who was every bit the hairy bushman he looked. We will remember his stories, (some of them taller than others), and his semi-submerged cigarrette smoking!
A tough walk/climb in the heat rewarded us with some scenic views.

Breakfast around the camp fire.
There was plenty of swimming in rock pools and water holes. Here some intrepid explorers return from a tricky climb up to a higher pool and waterfall.

We returned to the campsite one evening to find it surrounded by bushfires!
The group, (except Karin who is taking the photo), Left to Right - back row - Andy, Pirkka, Gaby; Front row L-R - Jamie, Sam, Dave, Petra, Mette. It is hard to imagine a nicer group of people to be stuck in a Landcruiser with.
