Sgt. Jetpack (1979-2004) Security Level 7; Member of the Freedom Squad. While breaking up a Circle of Thorns ceremony atop Akimbo Building in Steel Canyon, a CoT spell deactivated his jetpack, sending him plummeting twenty-six stories to the street below. He was then hit and run over by a van filled with Skull gangmembers, who stopped and savagely beat Sgt. Jetpack, while nearby Clockwork robots also joined in. According to witnesses, Sgt. Jetpack, despite two broken ankles and a broken leg, attempted to flee but rounded a corner directly into a Fifth Column rally. The Nazi gang quickly gunned him down in a hail of bullets and a pack of zombies, fleeing the battle with another hero nearby, stopped to feast upon his flesh. His corpse was rescued by the vigilante Silver Bullet, who promptly killed all the zombies and arrested the Fifth Column members. Funeral services for Sgt. Jetpack will be held at the Doom�s Hill Cemetery on 143rd St. in "Dark" Astoria on Thursday at 11:45 pm. Funeral services conducted courtesy of Crey Industries, following their standard CCNP* hero burying format (*Closed Casket, No Peeking). In lieu of flowers, the Freedom Squad requests another hero be sent to replace Sgt. Jetpack.
