| Is the Bible Confusing? |
| When you talk to Witnesses, they will tell you that the Bible is confusing. They say that the only way you can ever understand the Bible is with their publications. What is confusing here? Is this true? Do you need thier publications to understand the Bible? What does the Bible say about this? What do other Religions say the same thing. When Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden, Satan confused Eve with what she new already. Thus she ate the forbidden fruit. When Jesus was in the dessert, Satan tried to confuse Jesus into following him. This did not work. We all know what is wrong and right. It is in all of our hearts, we just have to look and we will find the answer. Satan tempts us by trying to confuse us with what is wrong and what is right or what is the truth. Did God inspire the writers of the Bible just so that they could confuse us. No, the Bible is not confusing at all. The Bible has been written in a simple and straight forward manner so that anyone can understand the message that is found inside of it. The writers of the Bible were simple people with a simple message. God does not try to trick us with confusing words. Because of this, if two people that have never read the Bible before are both given Bibles to read, they will both get the same message. This is what God has intended and this is how it is. If you read about different bible based cults, you will find that that they are really similar in most of their beliefs and how their "organizations" are run. This is something that you need to look up and find out yourself. One thing that many of them have in common is that they say the Bible is confusing and you need them to find the truth that is in the Bible. This is most often done by playing what I have heard called Bible Hopscotch. When you read any Witness literature, this is what is done. You read the the Society's words and a couple "related" verses are found after that. I grew up going to a small humble Baptist Church. I have never heard anyone say the Bible is confusing in my church. Even when I was a little kid, we would read a whole section out of the bible and we as children would have to find the meaning in the scripture. Witnesses do the opposite, they read the organizations literature and find the meaning in it, not the Bible. What this does is, it confuses the reader about the Bible's true meaning. |
