This story is very special to me. Two years ago, I lost the original of this story in a devastating computer crash. Many moons later, while going through a stack of computer printouts, I found the first three pages of the original first chapter. I sat around for about two weeks, wondering how the story would have turned out if I had been able to complete it. Finally, I got off my duff and started re-writing.
As always, I must thank my wonderful editors, Terry (Chromasnake) and Niki, for those pesky grammatical errors, and for always encouraging me to expand my vocabulary when I use the same word one (okay, maybe five or six) too many times in the same paragraph :) You two rock!
I also want to thank Amber, for not only hosting this chapter while I was working on my website, but for also encouraging me that me story was worth finishing, and also worth exposing to the rest of Trixieland. Thank you, friend!!!
You know the drill by now....these characters are not mine with the exception of Greasy and Lefty, but I'm not sure that I want to claim such unsavory characters anyway :) And, not only am I making NO profit from this story, but I'm also losing both sleep and sanity by writing it :)
