Here she is! My first love, the 1987 Grand National, STOCK! This was a shot taken on delivery day 1998. I obvoiusly didn't take the picture, so I don't know WHY the front got chopped? And yes, she always looked this good. Alwyas stayed in near mint condition, and the interrior was even better. In 2000, I managed to strip the splines on the torque converter, so while repairing and rebuilding the tranny, I had a shift kit installed as well. It was beautiful! Just a little bit of spirited driving would squak the tires a little. I sold the car in 2001 with 160,000 miles on it, for $9000. I wanted to get out of the rare cars that were hard to find parts for. I wanted to get a 5.0 Mustang, but when the idea of owning a super rare Mustang SVO came to be, I chose that instead. I figured I could keep another rare car parked for a while and nurse the Grand Am along even longer to pound the miles on.
