Hi jman, Anetta and Leanna play with VLC player, but (depending on version, with the last one) it repairs the AVI-Index of these mpg4 (codec mp43) files each time started and doesn't save the rapaired things, and Leanna plays only some 18 mins (i.e. plays only the file 001 of both 001+002 as joined with HJsplit). File 002 doesn't start in VLC, of both Anetta and Leanna. While these Anetta and Leanna doen't open in any other player saying cannot find stream, Mia and Sophie play in any player.
So I think the problem arises with the splitting. Could you tell please us how did you split the files, for us to know how to react. They are obviously not splitted using HJ ('cause having a header written in each 2nd file, and HJsplit doesn't write anything, it just splits files that later can be joined even without HJsplit, e.g. in DOS using copy /B).
