Someday, this will be the webpage for all the information on my 1971 Honda. First off, I got this green machine from my Great Uncle on Friday, July 16, 2004. I got it pretty much as you see in the picture, except I took off the sissy bar... It came to me without the carbs, so I resolved to fix that, I started off by calling the local Honda dealers: Thorntons Honda in Versailles apparantly doesn't want my business (they never called me back after my 2 calls), Gene's Honda said that they'd have to call Honda to see if the carbs could be ordered, I told them that they are no longer made... Western Hills Honda was the most helpful of all, they had NOS parts, but for $292. I decided to take my chances with a used part from eBay... I bought 2 carbs (for a grand total of $112.50) on July 18 and am still waiting for them to arrive. it's only the 21st, so I'm looking for them to get here either tomorrow or the next day. |

The carbs came in, they got installed... it lives.
Considering what I paid for it, this is a pretty nice bike... a mostly stock 325cc honda twin with a five speed transmission

| Let's see, what have I done to the bike so far... well, the sidecovers came in today, I'm waiting on air filters which should be next week. it's got an intermediary tank on it which will work until the orig. tank comes back from paint (it had close to a dozen dents in it)... the crash bar came off and went back on with footpegs added, sisy bar came off and went back on the right way, I added a luggage rack and bought a nice helmet... the saddlebags and front fender are off for paint (the front fender may stay off for awhile) | |
| May 20, 2005... I ordered 2 new carbs after I found that it will cost an inconceivable amount of money to have my old carbs rebuilt.
