Progress on this beast has come to a halt for the moment.... my uncle has the bike in his shop. he was repairing the roof on his garage.

a few bad things happened

My 72 year old uncle found the weak spot in the roof
with both feet
he fell through the roof
landed on the hood of his 1972 Pontiac LeMans
bounced off the car
and landed in a pile of lawnmower parts

The Pontiac used to have factory hood scoops... they are now level with the surface of the hood
he should be up and going again in a week or so.
