The documents in a portfolio include academic and business achievements, letters of recommendation, and demonstrations of skills learned. The documents in the portfolio are intended to support the claims made in the resume. At the same time, they may serve to explain in a larger sense the competency and qualification of the candidate, far beyond the capacity of a one page resume.
