The Amazing Race Tidbits
A common thread in the lineup of teams for AMAZING RACE 9 was the lack of international travel experience. A few teams had extensive travel backgrounds, especially the winners BJ and Tyler and the older Fran and Barry, the fifth place team. Some had foreign language skills; most did not. It made for an interesting race, if predictable at times. Another sharp divide was between athletic teams and those with decided limitations. Eric and Jeremy were so competitive, being both fit and highly athletic. Yolanda demonstrated her abilities in footraces. Will the lineup for AMAZING RACE 10 have the same diversity of skills, or will the cast be chosen to be more competitive?

Episode Ten was the second non-elimination leg, granting yet another reprieve to BJ and Tyler, after one of the wildest and closest finishes for the last three places. See my thoughts on this highly charged episode and how the four remaining teams of two would apply their skills, talents, and savvy in the 11th episode of AMAZING RACE 9.
Episode 11 saw the elimination of the highly promising Monica and Joseph. See my thoughts on Episode 11 and the outlook for the two hour final as three teams, the Frats, Eric and Jeremy, the Hipsters, BJ and Tyler, and the fast Ray and Yolanda prepared to compete for the million dollar prize in the two-hour finale of AMAZING RACE 9.
Congratulations to BJ Averell and Tyler Macniven, the winners of THE AMAZING RACE 9!
The final episodes of THE AMAZING RACE 9 on Wednesday, May 17, at 8 PM were exciting as the three remaining teams responded to the challenges in Japan and the wintery mountains of Alaska and Colorado! See my thoughts on Episodes 12 and 13 of AMAZING RACE 9.
