MY POEMS

Love palaver

It began in my first week in school

When the weather was so cool

In Bowen library, my eyes fell on her

My mind paused and I felt she’ll be closer

For numerous times, I’ve tried

To reveal to her, feelings I can’t hide

But all to no avail

As each strategy did not prevail

“It’s over”, I often decide within

It rather continues as long as I’m breathing

Teases and advice restore the courage

But she soon put my expressions in cage

How can the cycle discontinue?

I ask no one but you

You may think this love is not reciprocal

Wait and see if the next move results in withdrawal
