MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY

I, Frederick Gbemileke Odutola was born on Thursday, July 31, 1986. A germination of the seed sown by Rev. (Dr.) Fred B. Odutola and Mrs. Adenike Odutola. I am a Christian and a native of Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria. My gender should be obvious: MALE. I am light in complexion, 1.63 metre tall and weigh 60 kg. My hobbies are reading, poetry, writing, making friends and I'm addicted to my so called 'girlfriend': MY COMPUTER.

Grandma fell in love with me since I was a baby. Despite the fact that she had retired after finishing with my dad and his siblings, she reemployed herself and took me when I was forty-one (41) days old. As grandma laid my foundation, I grew like a normal ghetto child with average resources available. I ate balance out of diet, eating at an average of four times daily without considering which was protein or which was carbohydrate. Then, whenever I felt like eating again, I'll pretend to be asleep for about 20 minutes. Whenever you wake up, it's food again. That's my grandma for you. My education was superb and quite expensive (thanks to papa), except for my secondary school days which was in a government school. Everyone thought that would make me a strong and wise because they believed I've always been pampered by grandma. That's however not true. I can remember those moments when grandma would spank me for doing wrongs.

I went to Olu James Nur. & Pry. School, where I wrote my common entrance examination. I cannot remember much about this school. I can however remember my friends especially those I still keep: Peter (my childhood friend), Funsho and Oyewole.

I gained admission into State High School, Oyewole, Agege, where the challenges began. That's when I began to see life as competition, a make it or break it affair. I was rough and stubborn in my first two years in secondary school. I can't remember how often grandma changed my uniform. Getting to the senior secondary level, it was a different ball game. Though among the shortest, I worked my respect.  Though I was only in my early teenage, I became a gentleman and managed to be among the quite brilliant fellows. I was a block prefect and a member of the Nigerian Red Cross and Arts Department club in school. Of all those I met in State High School, I cannot but remember Adikwu, Emmanuel (a.k.a. professor); Tijani, Oyewole; Uduak, Sunday (a.k.a. Pastor); Awinle, Abiodun; Babalola, Bukola; Adeyemi, Funsho (right from Primary school); and Afuape, Muritala (2002 set).
"Those we love are always in out hearts"

At yet another young age (sixteen), I had to experience another academic phase. This time around, it's in Bowen University, Iwo of the Nigerian Baptist Convention. Leaving secondary school for university without wasting a year is something rare in Nigeria especially with the problems of the so called 'JAMB'. I thank my dad for sparing the 'Naira', and God for making the admission and eventually the graduation a reality. I was among the founders and also a member of Ripples and Rhymes poetry club of Bowen University. I was the first Editor-in-Chief of Bowen Association of Human Communications Students (BAHCOS). A lot happened in Bowen, I can't start the narration. You may check for more in my Diary link.

All along I was racing the academic race with God's grace, I've eventually completed the another stage with four phases. Sorry about the codes, I was talking about the battle for the Bachelor's degree. I finished from Human Communications department in the Faculty of Social and Management Science of Bowen University Iwo, Osun State. I specialized in Integrated Marketing Communications (entails Public Relations, Advertising and Marketing). I was a chorister at home and in school. I however hope to quickly get busy for the Lord especially now that I'm a graduate.

While in school, I was hanging out with right crew, together rubbing minds and working to make the future good. Most noticeable are these three 'campus brothers' of mine who happened to be my course mates and roommates in school: Adebanwo Olanrewaju (Lagos), Awobamise Ayodeji (Lagos), and Oladipo Rommel (Kaduna). Of all experiences in school, I remember when I was in the bounds and chains of love, loving someone that only likes me like she likes every other friend of hers. Details in my Diary.

I'm a graduate now. NYSC comes up in February, Masters comes immediately after and other plans are committed into the hands of the Master Planner himself: GOD.

Kisses to my siblings, I love you all. Hugs to my buddies all around the world, you share my heart. Kudos to Dad and Mum, you mean much to me. Kudos, hugs and kisses to grandma, your name is engraved in my life.
