Fugees - The Score (1996) |

What can you say? This is my favorite album of all times. Many people may complain that it's too many covers or that it's too commercial. I don't care. This album is much more than just Killing Me Softly, Ready Or Not, and Fu-Gee-La. This is one of the few albums where every track is good. The mix between Lauryn, Pras and Wyclef is perfect. The fact that Lauryn is both a great singer and a great rapper makes the album even better. Favorite Track: Zealots |

Outkast - ATLiens (1996) |
Even though I have not had this album for very long it is definitely one of the albums that has been played the most. The two members stic.man and M-1 are as far as you can get from the commercial rappers that you hear on the radio. This is aggressive and revolutionary hiphop. The lyrics are extremely political and the social and political problems in America are analyzed. Favorite Track: We Want Freedom |

All of Outkast's albums are good but this one is spectacular. The combination of Big Boi and Dre is just great. The beats and the lyrics just blend together perfectly. This is another one of those albums where every track is good. Favorite Track: Elevators (Me and You) |

Mos Def and Talib Kweli deliver a great album with excellentt rhymes and wonderful beats. The lyrics are also highly political and that is why it is one of my favorites. Their political awareness is awesome. Favorite Track: Definition |

In my opinion Tupac's best album. It's dark and filled with his struggle with various problems. It's not an album that you put on when you are feeling down and wants to be cheered up. It is a solid album and it gives the darker side of the genius of Tupac Shakur. Favorite Track: Heavy In The Game |

My life would not have been the same without Staten Island's Shaolin warriors. Their first album is without a doubt their best and it is just filled with block-rocking beats and hard rhymes. The mix of all the members and their different skills makes Wu-Tang very special. Their love for Eastern martial arts and their great interludes adds to the album. Favorite Track: C.R.E.A.M. |

Most of the solo albums of the members of Wu-Tang Clan have been good solid music, but GZA takes it one step further. The whole layout and style of this album is great it all fits together. With some help from some of the other members GZA really proofs that he is a genius. GZA is not just going to throw his lyrics out there, it's like everything fits together. There are some of the top tracks ever made on this album (Shadowboxin', Liquid Swords, and Cold World etc.) Favorite Track: Liquid Swords |

This is another album with strongly political lyrics. KRS-ONE doesn't hold back and he attacks especially the police. Add to this some heavy beats and KRS-ONE's aggressive rap and you have a great album. Favorite Track: Moral Thought |

KRS-ONE - Return of the Boom Bap (1993) |

What can you say? Without a doubt a classic, Snoop gives us laidback G-Funk at its best. There is something special with the way that Snoop raps and with the help of Tha Dogg Pound he delivers hits like Murder was the Case, Gin and Juice, and Doggy Dogg World. This album is a must in every rap collection. Favorite Track: Gin And Juice |

This is just another classic album, with this Dre started something new. When it was released it was very original and it is still one of the best albums ever made. Dre and Snoop together is just dynamite. This is just a masterpiece with songs like Nuthin' But a "G" Thang and Let Me Ride. Favorite Track: Nuthin' But A "G" Thang |
