THE COMIC
Since 1963, Fred has been a wry and witty observer of life,
finding funnybones and turning up smiles on three continents.
Fred�s cartoon master and creator was Alex Graham, a native of
Glasgow, Scotland. Currently the strip is produced by Graham�s
successor. Fred has been the inspiration for several books,
greeting cards, novelties and some 20 television shows.
Storyline
Any reader who has ever been a "dog�s best friend"
will recognize and love Fred. Loyal . . . and independent. A tad
snooty . . . and unassuming. A little dogmatic . . . and an
irrepressible wag. No wonder he�s been as welcome on the comics
pages as the familiar fit of an old slipper.
