Puerto Viejo De Talamanca & The Costa Rica/Panama Border Crossing
After leaving Montezuma unreasonably early, (about 6am), we headed off for San Jose to check out the capital.  It was the first big city we'd been in for a while as we were reminded by the number of people, cars, and smart shopping malls!  We only stayed here 1 night before catching a bus the following morning to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, a small seaside town on the South Eastern coast of Costa Rica.  It was not quite as great as we had imagined and as we were keen to get to Bocas Del Toro in Panama, we set off the following morning towards the border.

The border crossing was the best yet!  A rickety old railway bridge across the river dividing the 2 countries, with a sign at the beginning of the bridge which said something like "Puente Mal Estado", which was no understatement!
