              The "Old Men of the Sea" was established in 1992 with extreme help from Capt. Burt LeVee and Capt. John Crampton.   Every Wednesday, about 0900 hours male members and/or guests would venture out to sea on their sailboats.   Experienced sailors teach the new sailors.   After three times out, you can become a full member of the OMS.   On the first Wednesday of the month we races to our "special Islands".  These races are  the Spice Cup Series and that Cup is awarded at the annual Old Men of the Sea dinner.    
                 On sail days lunch and liquid refreshments (your choice of liquids) are brought aboard.  Weather dictates the hour of return to Anne's Island.....

With Sails close hauled, the bridge is called,

We're setting out to sea.

The Smyrna fleet is ready, a happy company,

The course is set, the decks are wet, and all the boats run free.

The wind is strong, we fly along, the markers hard alee.
