This is my favourite singer in the world so I thought I should at least put something up about him. Bryan Guy Adams was born in Kingston, Canada in 1959. He moved away from Kingston, travelled throughout Europe, and then moved to Vancouver, where he presently resides. Bryan was verbally abused by his father. He wanted Bryan to be in the army, but Bryan was too strong and determined. At age fifteen, he started writing his own songs. Bryan dropped out of high school at this age as well. His songs started to be played by other groups when he was eighteen, such as Kiss and Loverboy. His first album, "Bryan Adams", was released in 1980. He has received two Grammies, both for love ballots. Not everything is known about Bryan Adams. There are many sides to him and unknown facts about him.. One think is certain though. Bryan Adams' attitude contributes to his songs. Bryan Adams looks back on his past a lot. Most of his songs are written in past tense. In the song "Summer of '69", Bryan looks back on his days as a teenager. During the wild '70's he was a teen. At first, at eighteen, his songs were performed by famous bands. He grew up in Canada and released his first album in 1980. Bryan cherished these days like gold. When analysing "Summer of '69", it was like an opened book to Bryan's thoughts. In the song, he's looking back on "the best days of his life" and remembering times of old. Even in "Heaven", he's remember about the younger years when he was free. In many other songs, he sings about past memories, friends, and, especially, lovers. Almost every love song of his is written in the past. Bryan's attitude about the past, therefore, contributes deeply to his songs. Mr. Adams has a deep poetic side when it comes to love ballots. Bryan's most known for his love songs. "(Everything I Do) I Do it for You" is signature. People know him for his gentle voice, lyrics, the way he touches the heart and his openness. He talks from the heart, almost tells his life story through song, which not all singers can do. While doing a survey, the following poll was designed. Results are out of one hundred seventy-nine people. Song / Number of Votes Let's Make a Night / forty four I Wanna Be You're Underwear / thirty five Only Thing That Looks Good on Me / thirty 18 'Till I Die / twenty three Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman /thirteen (Everything I Do) I Do it for You / eleven Please Forgive Me / seven Summer of '69 / four Straight from the Heart / two Cuts Like a Knife / two Remembrance Day / one This Time /one Heat of the Night / one Heaven / one Just by observing this poll, you can clearly see that the majority of songs had to deal with love in some fashion. Taking into prospect that the songs with the most votes are all newer releases, we must remember that his most popular and most played songs are love ballots. Almost all of his songs deal with past loves, or love in general. "Cuts Like a Knife" is a rock song but the lyrics clearly deal with love. A big example that Mr. Adam's has great poetic love songs is when you confront a male about their thoughts about Bryan's music. Men tend to prefer music with loud drums and hard rock, not "sappy", "mushy" stuff. When surveyed, however, the men liked Bryan's rock music but also greatly enjoyed his ballots. The loving, romantic side of Bryan adds to the greatness of his music. Bryan is still living and felling like a teenager. He is constantly singing about his past and wishing he was still a teen. "Those were the best days of my life". That alone shows his love of this teen years. His song "18 'till I Die" is about Bryan wanting to stay eighteen years old until the day he dies. It's ironic, because he was eighteen when his songs started to be played. He cherishes his youth and holds on to it with a tight grip. Bryan still dresses along the line of a teenager, has a haircut like a teen and ever writes like a teen. In many songs, he describes himself as "young, wild and free" and "reckless". Bryan may be afraid of growing older so he pretends to be that young and reckless kid. Maybe it's just the fact that he misses the reckless life of a teenager. After all, he did have an album titled "Reckless". Bryan Adams' attitude contributes to his songs. Whether it's his attitude about the past, love or his current life, his songs are written straight from the heart and add that extra touch of specialness to each song.
