Deep within the caverns of her mind it crept, like a serpent it slithered through her memories. Every fear she had every felt was coming back this moment. The warnings of the High Ones, the screams of the children. Then a sudden shock and all went black, drenched in sweat she was jolted away from the past and flung the opposite direction. This mental journey becoming more and more stressing.
Watching her future unfold before her, all she could do was scream. Her world, once vibrant and full of hope, now crumbled before her in a burning revelation. "Your destiny" a word repeated in her mind as the Gods fell around her and she watched herself cackling in the wake of their destruction. Creatures, many unknown to her, many her current subjects wreaked havoc among the Otherworld. The dark fairy, so adored as her masterpiece, tore the head off her mother with high pitched giggles echoing as she tossed the body aside and held up that majestic face like a trophy. Brilliant flames burst from automatic pistols weilded by another of her creations, pummeling the hallowed building she once called sanctuary as a child. And as the marble walls of the purest white turned to dust, she watched the image of herself, watching from the distance. Cloaked in darkness, hair reaching to her ankles and black as night, head thrown back in a fit of maniacal laughter, skin as ivory and eyes of coal...small symbols embedded in her flesh..those symbols, could they be? No, the Ancient tongue...
Her future self was enjoying this carnage. This cannot be...with a heavy heart she begged for the vision to cease. She would not become this beast, she would avoid this as best she could...yet the reality of it all, the prophecies...the Seers. Gods and Goddesses from her childhood told her this would come to pass, he parents feared this...her banishment had been because of this. Yet somehow...somewhere in the depths of her soul she wished nothing more than peace...to be in her parents' arms once more...to feel loved. Now this, after all her work and all her sacrifice, she had her doubts. Faced with the outcome, she had doubts. Her intentions were to teach the Gods that left her for dead a lesson, that she could prevail, that she was strong enough to be one of them. All her work was toward destroying the pests that prayed to all but her...that disregarded her as one of the High Ones...the Gods. Not to destroy her home..but prove herself worth enough to call it such.

Now this...was all her work for naught? She was having doubts...she was losing her edge...where did this come from? The memories like a hurricane, the emotions...Have I grown soft?

From the reccesses of her concious mind she hears a familiar voice of comfort...

"M'love...what has become of you?..."

As sudden as they came, the visions left and there she sat upon her throne, drenched in bloody sweat and tears. When feeling came back to her body she noticed her hands were sore, looking down at them she understood why...she had been clutching the arms of the great dragon rather tightly. A fleeting thought had her wondering why he'd not spoken up..tried to rouse her, then the idea that he could have been the reason for her black out...no, not Drekh. Shaking the sudden accusations away, she heard the voice again.

"M'love...are you feeling ill?'

It was him...yet where? With a quick glance about she found no sign of her love. He was playing that trick of his again...but...I destroyed him.

"You cannot believe such things, m'love. You are far too intelligent a woman for that."

"Are you responsible for this, you slime?"

"Harsh again...always so harsh. It is you who should be on the recieving end of this hatred, love. You have betrayed me, not the other way around...I merely came to visit."

"Then you do not know of what has just occured?"

"You have been asleep for quite sometime...a few soft moans is all I heard. I would have roused you but I felt it would be met with...well, the reaction I am getting now."

"Show yourself...please" Her hardened tone softens suddenly...as the emotion seeps from her.

"...As you wish." The form of a tall, slender man appears before her. A solemn look on his angelic face as he leans forward to place a hand on her shoulder. "Tell me what troubles you."

"Why should I confide in you? The very man that attempted to foil all my work..?"

"Tsk tsk, Mistress. You have so little knowledge of what occurs around you...I was never your enemy..."

"I-  But you- How can you say you were never my enemy! You tried to kill my minions! You let me be controlled by emotion, you allowed the chance for this realm to disolve!"

"You let yourself be controlled, you let your own realm be compromised, you created those minions. You should be able to control them. I was trying to save you...not harm you. I was there to rescue you, but your lapdogs got in my way. They misunderstood and attacked, if you remember I did not fight back as I could have. I held much from them...I let them live."

"....These are lies. SUCH LIES!" With a ferocity that could only be rivaled by an enranged bear, she lunges from the throne toward the man, only to fall to the floor as he steps to the side. Deep throated growls escaping her, she remains on the dark marble as he turns to look down at her.

"Come with me, Dyre. Allow me to take you back and prove to you what has truly passed..." A soft white glow forms beneath her, growing to envelop her in it's light...peace takes over her suddenly, a whisper escaping her lips before she vanishes.

"....Anonn.."
