She is a high-school sophomore who will prove to be the series'
least-predictable and most complicated character. Marked by the doubts that
accompany being a teenage girl, plus the anxiety that comes with being a mutant,
Rogue will be a character the fans love. Plus, I like her accent. It's pretty
cool.
Rogue is an uncertain and insecure 15-year-old, not the voluptuous bombshell she
grew to be in the comics. She is totally isolated from other people. Her mutant
ability prevents her from so much as touching another person, if she does, she
robs them of their memories and render them unconscious. And if the person she
touches is a mutant, Rogue also will steal his or her powers temporarily and
will be able to use them.
Rogue's isolation leads her to be petulant, sarcastic and alarmingly defensive.
In other words, she's a normal teenager! Thanks to her isolation, Rogue has
trouble trusting people. The farthest thing from a star student, Rogue is more
at home hanging with the bad kids. Thus, out of the show's heroes, she is the
most at risk of turning bad herself.

Original Rogue |
The young
woman known only as Rogue joined the X-Men to learn to control the genetic
attributes that are both her blessing
and her curse -- namely, the power to absorb others' memories and talents
through touch. Tragically, she still has not mastered this power,
and so is forced to keep those she loves most at arm's length.
Real name: Unrevealed
Occupation: Adventurer
Group affiliation: X-Men, formerly the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants
Base of operations: Mobile
First appearance: Avengers (Vol. 1) Annual #10 (1981)
Height: 5'8''
Weight: 120 lbs.
Eye color: Green
Hair color: Brown, with a white streak
Powers: Rogue is a mutant
who can absorb others' memories and abilities through physical contact. In
battle with the original Ms. Marvel, Rogue assimilated the heroine's powers
permanently -- acquiring invulnerability, super-strength and the ability to fly.
Rogue's powers mutated when she absorbed the attributes and memories of a
telepathic alien. Now, her abilities are far more uncontrollable, with the
talents of all those she has touched fighting to be released.
History: Very little has been revealed of Rogue's life before the manifestation
of her mutation, not even her real name. What is known is that she grew up in
Caldecott County, near the banks of the Mississippi River. In the throes of
adolescent passion, Rogue kissed a boy named Cody Robbins and caused him to lose
consciousness. Unable to shut out his memories, she fled. Rogue was discovered
soon afterwards by the sinister shapeshifter known as Mystique, who recognized
the young girl's abilities and adopted her as a daughter. Rogue lived with
Mystique and her companion -- the blind mutant seer called Destiny -- for
several years, engaging in terrorist activities as a member of the Brotherhood
of Evil Mutants.
When the others members of the Brotherhood were incarcerated, Rogue ambushed the
original Ms. Marvel to steal her powers so she could free her teammates from
prison. But the plan went horribly awry: Rogue absorbed all of the heroine's
abilities permanently and assimilated Carol Danvers' psyche. Unable to purge
Danvers' memories, Rogue sought the help of the telepathic, telekinetic
Professor Charles Xavier -- founder of the X-Men, an outlaw team of mutant
heroes. Xavier determined that the only way to help Rogue was to make her a
member of the X-Men, but the rest of the team refused to accede to his wishes.
After being reminded that Rogue would not be the only one among their number
with a checkered past, the X-Men grudgingly accepted her into their ranks. A
classic Southern beauty, Rogue has been known to turn heads...and break hearts.
Confused after her separation from Danvers, she was attracted to the genetic
terrorist known as Magneto. For a time, Rogue stayed with the Master of
Magnetism at his fortress in the Savage Land, a prehistoric tropical jungle
existing on the Antarctic continent. However, she saw through Magneto's noble
facade when he killed the high priestess Zaladane, who had amassed an army of
Savage Land natives.
Rogue's perception of her potential lover shaken, she returned to the X-Mansion.
After rejoining the team, Rogue fell for the mutant thief called Gambit; the
feeling was mutual. But after sharing a forbidden kiss, Rogue learned Remy
LeBeau's dark secret: He had aided and abetted the massacre of the Morlocks, an
underground community of mutant outcasts. At Rogue's request, the X-Men left
Gambit to fend for himself in the frozen wasteland of Antarctica. Eventually, he
rejoined the team and reconciled with Rogue.
When the Galactic Council transformed Earth into a maximum-security penal colony
for hundreds of extraterrestrial criminals, Rogue absorbed the attributes of
Z'Cann -- a telepathic alien shapeshifter who had joined Cadre K, Xavier's
Skrull equivalent to the X-Men. Z'Cann purposely touched Rogue to activate the
mutant's abilities as the two evaded bounty hunters. But Z'Cann used her
telepathy to amplify Rogue's capacity to assimilate memories, causing her powers
to mutate. While still coping with her evolved abilities, Rogue and several of
her teammates left the safety of the X-Mansion to search for Destiny's missing
diaries, which map out human history.

Obviously,
in the movie, Rogue doesn't really look gothic or like a bombshell.. I guess
it's always different. It's in the movie
that we learned Rogue's realy first name which is Marie. Her last name is still
kept under wraps. In the movie, Rogue will learn about her mutantness while
kissing a boy for the very first time. She will put the boy in a coma and will
never forgive herself for doing so. Therefore, Rogue will run away from home.
She will end up in this bar and there she will meet Logan. Logan fights there
for entertainment and money. But when his opponent asks for money because to
make up for his injuries and provoques him Logan will reveal his claws to the
viewing public and will be chased out the bar. Rogue saved his life, if she
didnt tell him to turn around the other guy would of stabbed Logan.
Rogue decided to join Logan secretly, she went into the back of his truck. When
Logan notices her presence, he will try to leave her behind but his soft side
(yea lol) will tell him to take her
along. Unfortunately, on the road, they'll have a little accident and they'll
meet up with Sabertooth, Wolverine's arch rival. Storm and Cyclops will come to
the rescue and save them both, Logan from his fight and Rogue from the burning
truck.
Storm and Cyclops will bring them both to the Xavier Institute for gifted
youngsters. Rogue will finally find her place. Anyway! I wont start telling the
whole darn movie lol. Rogue plays a huge part in there. She is the energy
Magneto needs to put his machine to work so he can make the humans pay and
transform them into mutants. It's a good movie rent it!!! Rogue's part is played
by Anna Paquin.
Anna
Paquin is an Academy Award winning actress. She was born on July 24, 1982, and
lives in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. She is the star of three major motion
pictures, including her first Oscar winning performance in The Piano, the role
of the young Jane in the 1996 film Jane Eyre, and the role of Amy Alden in this
fall's charming family film, Fly Away Home. Her future projects include The
Member of The Wedding (January, USA Network) and The Miracle of Pelham Bay Park
(in pre-production). Paquin attends and all-girls school in Wellington, N.Z.,
and she enjoys being with friends, family, playing rugby, and playing the cello.
With a well-developed vocabulary and gentle sense of humor, Paquin proves
herself to be the most enchanting young talent working today. Paquin's rising
stardom has often been a cause of charming media shyness, where it is obvious
that she is an ordinary girl who happens to posses an extraordinary talent.
