Jamie is the kid who is always last to get picked for the team, even though he
could literally be his own team. His powers make him very nervous and (at this
point in his life) are more trouble than they're worth. He's the youngest New
Mutant and suffers from feeling too little to be important. Jamie tries to fit
in with his peers by trying to be funny, but usually bombs. He even gets into
trouble sometimes because of that...Jamie also tries to prove to other people
that he's courageous and strong, even if he gets hurt from it.

Original name:
Multiple Man
Real name: James
Arthur "Jamie" Madrox
Species: Mutant
Group of
affiliation: X-Force,
previously member of associated Factor-X and with
Moira MacTaggert
1
appearance: Giant
Size Fantastic Four #4
Powers:
Madrox has the mutant power to create identical duplicates of if same when it is
struck violently (also when it is struck to if same). Although it can create
manifold
duplicated, cannot produce more of a duplicate simultaneously. The maximum
number of
duplicates that can create does not know so far. Each duplicated is able to
think, to feel
independently and to act, although they are tie emptica and very
telepathically. When it
wishes it, the original one can absorb to a duplicate of return to its body.
History: James
Madrox is the only child of two investigators of the Research center of
Los Alamos in New Mexico. In the course of their work, their parents were
exposed to a
specific radiation that produced subtle alterations in its genetic material.
This way his son
was born like a mutant. Moments after being born, the powers of Madrox were made
evident, when the doctor gave a pat him in culete, the blow caused that it was
multiplied
in two identical beings (the second was united later to the first few minutes).
Advised by
Professor Xavier, the Madrox family changed itself to a farm in Kansas where she
could
grow separately. The Dr Madrox created a special suit for his son who isolated
it of
kinetic forces that caused their duplication, and it forced it to dress it
constantly. When
Madrox grew did not know its power mutant, single it had the surprise to always
dress the same clothes.
When he was 15 years old, their parents died because of a tornado. Madrox spent
years single, taking care of the farm of its parents. Then, some failure in the
suit made possible that they appeared his powers and also began to absorb
electrical the energy environmental. Confused and scared, Madrox left to look
for aid, arriving finally to the city of New York. There, they found the Four
Fantastic and Professor X. Reed Richards (of the 4 Fantastic ones) helped to
repair it the components of its uniform, and Xavier assumed his safekeeping by a
short time, to teach to him how to use his powers of replication. When it was
invited to him to be united to the X-Men, Madrox rejected, preferring to accept
the supply of Moira MacTaggert of being assistant of laboratory in its complex
of mutant investigation in Muir Island.
Madrox remained in Muir Island during many years, leaving a single time to be
united to the mutant heroin Siryn to look for the prote'ge' of the Solar X-Men
Mancha and Warlock in name of Professor X. This took it to be united by a time
to the fugitive mutants that are had to call "Fail Angels". Madrox
returned to Muir Island after these short adventures.
During a short time when the X-Men had dissolved, the villain King Sombra tried
to take the mental control from all the mutants and investigators who lived in
Muir Island. Madrox helped reformed the X-Men to overcome the villain and agreed
in being united to Kaos and Polaris to form the mutant equipment sponsored by
the Factor-X government, having obtained was sufficient control on its powers as
to avoid to get dressed in its anti-exposure suit.
Madrox remained like member of Factor-X during many months, until a mission to
Genosha caused that the Bequeathed mortal virus contracted. Madrox died
apparently at hands of self-proclaimed the sanador Haven mutant when it tried to
cure to Madrox. Later one knew that the infected Madrox had been duplicated
before contracting the disease, and Madrox had survived through a duplicate.
Madrox helped to Factor-X in several missions but never it got to meet
completely to the group.
After Factor-X dissolved more ahead, Madrox was seen working with Forge,
watching to Magneto, the then leader of the nation of Genosha, in interest of
desires of Professor Xavier. During a civil war that broke the assumption to be
able of Magneto, Madrox intercepted to the X-Men Lobezno in recognition mission
to locate and to rescue to Madrox and Forja. Together they rescued to Forge, a
prisoner of Exodus that was made happen through Magneto in its absence.
Presumably, Madrox returned to the field of work in Genosha.
