| History of the Band |
| The Three Australian guys started the band in 1992. They was listenning to the radio and they was seaching a new name for their band. Chris heard that the listeners was choosing the music so he ran to the phone and asked one of his favorite song,"Berlin Chair". After heard "Sliver" from Nivana and the ask of Chris, the teens found the name of their band,"Sliverchair". When Ben said the new to his friend, he said "silverchair" instead of "sliverchair" so they decided to rename to band as "silverchair". They had their band, formed by Daniel Johns( vocals and guitar), Ben Gillies (Drums) and Chris Joannou (Bass). In 1994, they record the first album "Frogstomp". The Rolling Stones magasine promiss that it'll be a big succes and it have been a big succes. In 1997, they record the second album "Freak show" and finaly,the third "Neon Ballroom". For all the years 2000,they decided to take a break and just make concert after their break because they was really tired.THey wasn't stoping...always in tour or recording a new album. Now, in 2001, they talk about to record a new album for this year.We don't know much about it..... |
