Trip to Manila
Mark, Zo and I went up to Manila in early December to meet my brother Rosco who is traveling around around Asia. We stayed at Anya and Ryans place in Greenhills (they are both also AYADs). We had a blast going out to dinner and checking out Manila nightlife! Thanks to Anya and Ryan for their hospitality!

We also went out to visit the site which Ryan is working on. His project is helping the Smokey Mountain community which is on the site of the old waste dump. The hardships of day to day life there was heartrending. But the work that people like Father Ben do there is amazing!
Before going out on the Saturday night - the gang at Ryan and Anya's flat. Dinner at Raj's Indian Restaurant in Makati - one of the expensive districts in town... yummy food...
This is the housing that the government built on the old waste site - the mountain you can see next to it is the pile of waste with grass grown over the top - "safe" of course!
Rosco snuck a photo of my chatting to the kids trying to sell flowers at 4am....
Rosco (looking a lot like Jesus) with Adam, Zo and Ryan - at Raj's
This is the statue of Jesus that they have in the church in the temporary housing section of Smokey Mountain - he is holding a scavenger pole and bag!
The night that Rosco arrived in Manila before hitting the town for some beers
