| Just a note before we get into anything here....I'm trusting you people NOT to take my picture. This was sent to me, and is signed by the God himself, Jim Carrey. You take this photo and I find it on ANY other website, and not only is my site going down, i'll make sure your's does too. And then I'll beat the crap outta you. Do not TOUCH! ^^;; Welcome to my little Jim Carrey page. I thought that he deserved recognition for all the spectacular work he was done, and thus, this page was born! Yay! Until I have some time to get pictures up, I'll have some basic information and a list of his movies up. I'm not even going to bother saying how great he is or anything, because if you've ever seen The Majestic, The Truman Show, or Man on the Moon, you already know that his work speaks for itself. If you haven't....do it! You'll being doing yourself a HUGE favour, trust me! |

| This part of the page is purely my opinions and my feelings on Jim Carrey and may get fairly personal. You may or may not want to read it. I don't care. I feel it's something that I should get out of my system. So, if you don't like this sorta thing...better go. I doubt that even the closest of friends would believe this...but I've cryed over Man on the Moon almost as much I've cried over hide. I've been into Jim Carrey since around 1990 (which is longer than i've even been into anime or jrock) and seeing him in the coffin just about killed me. I know, it's stupid, but the thing is...Jim Carrey played Andy Kaufman so well, that you couldn't help feel that he really was dead. Sometimes, I find it absolutely amazing how far he has come as an actor. Yes, I loved the Ace Ventura movies. The Mask and the Cable Guy are two of my favourites. But you simply can't compare them to Man on the Moon or The Truman Show. He puts forth such an effort that it's hard to believe he isn't the character he's playing. I'm yet to find another actor that came make me feel he belongs in the movie like Jim Carrey does. Even in the Grinch, he's nothing short of perfect. I don't mean that I liked the makeup either. He WAS the Grinch. He fit the role so well, and I think that that's probably why he's such a great actor. He adapts himself to the roles. I have never seen a movie of Jim Carrey's that I didn't like. I look forward to everything he does and hope that he continues to be as spectacular as has been in the past. Just to put this into perspective....I had surgery last November. I got flowers and presents from tons of friends and relatives. But my favourite was the copy of The Grinch that my brother bought me. That really meant a lot to me and I hope he realizes that. Home |
