ALTON BROWN

Welcome to the only section on Grand Derangement that has nothing with Japan, Jrock, or Jpop! Yes, a whole page dedicated to ALTON BROWN! For those of you who don't watch Food Network, Alton Brown is the host of an awesome show called "Good Eats." Now, I realize that many people don't find cooking shows entertaining, but I believe that anyone will enjoy this show, regardless of your "cooking status." You see, besides just cooking the food, AB explains why one does certain things to the food, and all with a sense of humor. Who wouldn't enjoy seeing a show subtitled "Scrap Iron Chef?"
My reasons for watching Good Eats are much along the lines of my reasons for enjoy my 20th Century. Mr. Brown takes something simple, like food and cooking, and adds a twist to make it interesting, like Mr. Marr does to history. I think Good Eats will interest anyone who is willing to sit down and watch an episode. Of course, this picture ::points up:: didn't come from the show. Mr. Brown has now written a book, as well. Entitled, "I'm Just Here For the Food," the book contains recipes that border on science lessons, while still maintaining the humor and sense that makes Good Eats unique.
I suppose everyone is now wondering, "What does Good Eats, Alton Brown, and "I'm Just Here For the Food" have to do with the rest of this page?" Well...nothing, really. I've been watching Good Eats and Foot Network for a long time, and feel that Mr. Brown deserves some recognition for the work he was done. Besides, I wanted to show off my signed book. ^_^  I'll conclude with some relavant links:
