Here is the shot of the front end all bolted back together. As you can see, the radiator is quite obvious to everyone who sees the car. I was asked several times the first time we took the car for a drive "What's with that radiator"?
The electric fan is quite small, but it seems to work. The car runs fine so far. I plan to get a nice big 18" fan as soon as possible.

As for the mufflers , I just decided to put on a
pair of 12" glasspacks, they were the easiest way to go. They tuck up neatly under the car and I won't have to worry about clearance.

Of course, the first chance I got,
I had to do a burnout, just to break everything in right. ;)
I left nice set of
black marks in the street too. :)

The stock Pinto rear end will obviously not hold up to any kind of abuse from a V8, so we had to drop in a heavier duty version. An 8" rear from a 77 Granada is almost a bolt in swap.It is dimentionally the same as the Pinto rear, but It has bigger brakes and also 5 lug axles. An 8" rear should be able to hold up to the abuse from a 400hp engine. The only bad side to a Granada rear is that they only had 2.74 ratio gears. But if you can find a Pinto or a 65 Mustang with an 8" rear, you can just swap the carriers and you can have the 5 lug axle rear with decent 3.40 or 3.55 ratio gears. Here is what it looks like bolted together. Then, HERE is the car on the street with the new rear end and wheels with 5 lugs.
