Playoff Game # 3

We thought the Gymnasium was full before, we couldn't even begin to imagine the crowd that showed up to game 2 of this exciting series. With controversy surrounding the last game, the fans came in flocks to see what could possibly be the greatest floor hockey game the world has ever seen. Those who came were not disappointed. The gym rattled with the sounds of Jock Jams as fans clapped with anticipation. The fans were also given another treat besides the great game, but Veteran Mr. Redfern, came out of retirement and headman'd the game to avoid anymore controversy based on the outcome.

Hickory Dickory Dock, the clock struck 12 o'clock and puck dropped. Actually it was more like 12 35 but no one in there had eyes on the clock as it was on the floor. Centurions won the opening face-off and tried to quickly work into their zone, but to no avail as Danger Patrol countered with dumping the ball back into our zone. The first period was like a chess game, where no one man could gain an advantage. The period ended scoreless as both teams began to feel the pressure. For Danger Patrol, one loss and they're out. For The Centurions, lose this game, and we go to game 7(3) with their backs against the wall. The stakes were high!

The second Period began much like the other one had gone, with non stop back and forth action. No one could really get a break thanks to the solid defense of both teams. The centurions, constantly looked for the open man, but the second before he received the puck, someone from the patrol was there to send it right back in our face. Time was ticking down, there was less then 2 minutes  showing in the period. Both teams, were looking nervous as both feared the 3 on 3 overtime. When all of a sudden, Brent Milljour  Streaks down the right side on the gym and lets off an absolute canon towards the net. It was actually just inches away from the top corner but to his credit cass was there. The ball bounced off the wall and there was a streaking Devin MacAulay on the wing. The ball was bouncing but he managed to get a stick on it, sending it back where it came from at a speed, that could give a rocket, a run for its money. Back of the net it goes, the home town goes absolutely crazy but no time to party now, oh no, there is still about 1 minute 30 left in this game. The Patrol nearly tie it up, as they put all kinds of pressure, closest being ryan tipman nearly putting one past Gordo, but no today, as he shut the door as time expires. THE CENTURIONS WIN, THEIR GOING TO THE FINALS!!!

TSN's Monster Performer

Devin MacAulay

TSN's MONSTER performer is Devin MacAulay, featured here for the first time this season, but it was a critical one as he got a lucky bounce and made the Danger Patrol pay as the goal stood to be the winner in a 1-0 game and a 2-0 series sweep.

There is a couple of honorable mentions to this game. Firstly Brent Milljour, who found his shot on the back of his hand oddly enough, and managed to get off some rockets, as well as he go the only assist on the goal.

Gordon Templeton, should just have a spot on the wall permanently as he is a monster every game, coming up with saves that are ridiculous, and lastly, despite tension off the floor, Danger Patrols Marque Lavallee played a solid game defensively to keep his team in it.
