Playoff Game # 2
The seats were filled to capacity as we had the top 2 teams squaring off in the finals of Pool A, and the tension was up as everyone knew this was going to be a barn burner. The last time these two met, it ended in a 1-0 loss for the Centurions. So the puck drops and the centurions start off great as Captain Ryan Buchanan nearly splits the D right off the draw. The teams settled down and actually had intense back and forth action. Both teams looked really really good and really prepared. Centurions got on the board first as a point shot from Brett McCormac was redirected by Devin MacAulay, making this one 1-0. The centurions managed to keep the pressure on because shortly after that, Ryan Buchanan, got his first of the playoffs getting his own rebound and putting it away. After that goal, Danger Patrol really seemed to settle themselves down and started working as a team.
The second Period, seemed to be the exactly as the last one ended and Danger Patrol came out strong and more of a team. They put pressure on the centurions but net minder Gordon Templeton stood strong and was huge. In the middle of the second, Danger Patrol struck, as Neil sent a ball in deep, while Eli Henry picked up the ball and managed to net his second of the playoffs, and his second against the Centurions. But the Centurions proved to be too much, although scrambled, held on to the lead and managed to net a 3rd as Brett McCormac got what was the goal of the tournament, as he scored it, with many odds against him.
TSN's Monster Performer
Brett McCormac
This is the second time we have featured Monster Brett McCormac and with play like today, it wont be the last. Brett played his best of the tournament as he was a +2 for the night. He managed to pull of what was the nicest goal of the tournament, and he also played solid D. He stuck to the game plan and had a lot of composure. He kept a cool head and always put the team number 1 and for that he is the TSN, MONSTER PREFORMER.

Coach Chankavich's Keys for Next game
This game was played with a lot passion as these 2 teams with a lot of history, squared off against each other in game one of their best of 3 series. We all knew it was going to be an exciting series and it did not disappoint. It was great to see all the fans out for this one. We played great offense and defense although for game 2 there will be some adjustments.
We expect danger patrol, to come out strong next game as they want to win as bad as we do. We understand they are a dangerous team, no pun intended and we will not under estimate the capabilities of any one of their players. We will come focused and prepared for game 2 and we look to close out the series and advance to the finals. Congratulations boys on a great win. Until Next time.
