| Exhibition Fun |
| Day
2 of Intramural hockey brought out some twists and turns. In
the first scheduled game was to feature the Teachers vs. B-Ballers.
But after the B-ballerz team went down with a nasty flu bug,
they had to forfeit the game. With no opposing team, the
centurions filled in and had an exhibition game vs. the
teachers. Although the team wasn't totally centurions, the
team got a good feel for their toughest challenge, as the
team scored 2 late goals which was enough to take them
down 2-1. Although controversy arose about whether the
last goal went in or not, upon further review and close dissection,
it was called a goal. The goal scorers for the team were
Willie MacDonald and Ryan Buchanan, with assists to Brent
Milljour, Devin MacAulay and David Rivet. Overall a
great game.
In other news, the centurions farm team, played later in that same lunch hour, falling victim to Danger Patrol (FBI) 1-0. But Goaltender Adrian Iancu was fantastic in the loss, making one the best stops of the season, robbing Elijah Henry point blank. Andrew Hamel for Danger Patrol got the only goal unassisted. |
| Season Opener |
| The first game is in the books as the FRC centurions played to an easy 1-0 win over what was arguably the toughest game they will see. The centurions also got a look at what was expected to be their main competition as Lances Team and team First Place, played to a 1-1 draw. |
| Season Starts tomorrow! |
The anticipation builds as tomorrows season opener is only hours away. The team has called for an emergency meeting at coach Chankawitz home to discuss the opening game. In other news the web page should be fully working by Friday!
