The Agnus Dei is the Lamb of God -- the victorious lamb with the banner of the Cross of Resurrection.

The crusader cross on a shield
is part of the insigna of the Ordo Supremus Militaris Templi Hierosolymitani (The Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem), the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Grand Priority of Saint Sebastian.  Chaplain, Colonel, Sir Robert D. Parlotz, USAFR, is a Grand Officer of this order and served as the NATO Grand Chaplain.  He is a member of the Grand Priory of the United States of America.

The crossed keys are representative of the office of the bishop.

The Greek tex
t in the upper left corner of the shield means "a servant of Jesus Christ."

The Hebrew tex
t in the upper right corner of the shield is from Psalm 31:1 and means "In you, O Lord Yahweh, I have taken refuge."

The Latin  tex
t, "Non nobis Domine non nobis sed nomini tuo da gloriam," is from Psalm 115:1 and located under the crest.  It means, "Not to us, Lord, not to us, but to your name give the glory."
