Sausage Roll-Ups
2 (8 oz.) cans crescent rolls
2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 lb. sausage, browned and drained (pork or turkey)
1 egg, beaten
Poppy seed
Mix cooked sausage and softened cream cheese in a bowl. Spread two crescent roll triangles out flat, pinching the seam together to make a rectangle. Spread cream cheese mixture on dough. Roll up the long side of the dough like a jellyroll and cut into six 1-inch pieces. Continue with the other crescent rolls and mixture. Brush tops with egg and sprinkle with poppy seed. Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 10 minutes. Makes 48 rolls. Note: I suggest not cooking all 48 rolls on the same cookie sheet. Leave about one inch between rolls so they will cook evenly.
