Brothers & Sisters of Harbor Lights,
I am truly humbled by your overwhelming show of love and support.  You
have shown yourselves to be true "servants of Christ and stewards of the
mysteries of God."  Your generosity has brought my spirits some much needed
ministering.  Since I left my home on March 4th, I have struggled with
anxiety and worry about the welfare of my lovely bride and children.  I
continually reference Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge
Him, And He will make your paths straight."  I know this to be the truth and
the way to peace, but still struggle to lay all of my troubles at the Lord's
feet.  I share this with you partly to help you understand how much your
acts of generosity help lift me up.  One of the first things I picked up
from your package was a book by Charles Swindoll.  I found several
references to "worry" and the first words I read in the book were, "WORRY
ABOUT NOTHING, PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING."  Pretty simple advice...and it works!
Forgive me for not describing the joy all of your gifts are bringing to my
comrades and me, but please know that everything you sent is making a
difference.  I'm even listening to one of the Dove CDs you sent as I type
this and I'm really looking forward to working my way through another In His
Steps study on May 1st!
Your show of support all of the troops means a lot to me and I am
humbled.  It is my sincere honor to serve my country and all it stands for,
which in the end justifies whatever small sacrifices we must make.  I don't
spend much time worrying about my own welfare because the military keeps a
lot of people around to do that.  Like I've said, I'm more concerned with
Rhonda, Dalton and Olivia.  Would you mind praying with me for them?

"Our glorious, heavenly Father, I come as your humble servant with a prayer
for Rhonda, Dalton, and Olivia.  Please wrap them up in your protective
wings where they may find refuge.  Mercifully grant them refuge from the
loneliness, worry and disruption of their daily lives while their husband
and father is away.  Surround them with your agents of good will who will
rain love upon them.  Give them solace and peace of mind knowing you are
sovereign and in control.  And Lord, please give them hope that someday
soon, their family will be reunited and whole once again.  Three cords are
better than one and I thank you for the love and ministry of my fellow
brothers and sisters in Christ.  In your holy and precious name I pray,
Amen."

May God bless you all,
Creg Paulk
