      Hebrews 2:1-4

 

No one drifts into a holy life.

Drifts into sin – out of the will of God.

 

Causes of drifting

1.                  Neglect – Bible study, quiet time, church

2.                  Unconfessed sin

3.                  A lack of sense of direction for your life

4.                  Influence of other people

5.                  Unsure about what you believe

6.                  Doubting God

7.                  Preoccupied with the world

8.                  Being defeated with temptation over and over

 

How to recover

1.                  Acknowledge that you have drifted

2.                  Genuine repentance

3.                  Return to life of submission to the will of God

4.                  Readjust the priorities in your life
