Dammam score over Aramco

DAMMAM, 4 January(2002) — An Eid festival match was held here last Friday between Dammam Youngsters and Aramco Abqaiq Youngsters sponsored by PCC president Sajid Abbasi.

Aramco Abqaiq Youngsters won the toss and decided to bat first and made 213 in 30 overs.

Qaiser was the most successful batsman who made 50 and Yasir Khan who made 27 and Mateen 28 and Arif Qamar 30. Muqeem was the most successful bowler who took 4 wickets, Shiraz Farooqui took 3 wickets and Imran Farooqui took 2 wickets and Khursheed Khan claimed one wicket.

Dammam Youngsters reached the target in the 27th over. Imran Farooqui was the highest scorer with three sixes and 5 fours making a breezy 65. Waqas contributed 35, Irfan Farooqui 30 and Haziq Khan 25.

A prize ceremony was held after the match and chief guest was Sajid Abbasi. He distributed the trophies to players and thanked Iqbal Bali for training the young players and Azhar Farooqui for organizing such event.
