| Most activities that are done that involve some secrecy or imagination require a blindfold. To get the best use of a blindfold so as not to have the pledge tilt his/her head back like they have a cramp and look through the open area where the nose meets the cheek bone, is to use cotton balls. You have the pledge close their eyes. Then you put a cotton ball over the eyelid, and then put the blindfold on. This prevents the pledge from opening his/her eyes at all under the blindfold. Not being able to see during some activities is essential. These organizations rely on your imagination. Most chapters use sound effects and silly props to make you think you are doing something magnificant. But when the blindfold comes off, all that was there was plain room with furniture. BUT, it can be very interesting while blidfolded. |
