| Prophecy and the Consciousness of Timelessness (Part 1): An Exploration into the theory and practice of the quantum nature of time. A Document for consideration by those of the Faidh vocation of Druids. 2003 Shannon Shepherd Carved in Stone? or Etched in Water? One of the main issues concerning prophecy in our present day is the question of hit or miss in regards to success ratios. There are many who are tormented over the grim predictions of a great number of prophecies, and some of these are almost certainly psychological expressions of a fear pattern. Some days the prophet is right, on others he is a little off, and sometimes hes just wrong. Or so it all seems. Most will generally and erroneously accept that a prophecy is carved in stone, an inevitability. This is an unhealthy view, and dangerous not to themselves, but others as well- I will try later to delve a bit deeper into my last statement, but for now it will have to wait. In order to truly understand prophecy it is important to understand time. By the end of this paper, I hope that is just what I have helped you to do. The majority of visions received by those in the early stages of the noble vocations seem to most frequently be hazy, oft times ill-defined, particularly when concerned with the future. Yet, the past usually comes with far greater clarity. The future cannot be defined when it is unwritten and does not exist, a spiral in eternal motion (of pure non-historic information), yet formless. But something is seen, usually symbolic, and with varying accuracy from fairly defined to confusing, which tells us that something at least of the future must already exist. The ability to truly see allows the Seer to be more accurate, because if he has honed his sight to resonate with higher levels of vibratory activity he perceives more of the true reality and thus is able to more accurately ascertain the most likely result of a probable course based on historic data as well. Or that the prophecy is a vision from subconsciousness, which always speaks in symbols and abstraction, of what may be the most likely pattern of event manifestation based on the subconscious record of past patterns and perhaps even deeper from the collective subconscious, the later being usually more profound and better defined. Before roads were built on land, there were continents. Today we use those roads we have built. The future arises from Chaos. A state where pure information exists but without form. It is a realm of potential, or infinite possibility. And we chart our futures, both individual and collective, with our free-will. The futures we glean in our art from the azoth is usually the most likely outcome of what will occur if we continue along our current path. Quantum time is a fairly new field of study in quantum physics. The basic essence of quantum time theory is that the apparent linearity of time is a manifestation of our movement through the non-linearity of this Chaos which comprises the potential of the manifestation of future. The past has been lineated, yet the future has not. Chaos knows not linearity. Just as there is the seemingly linear horizontal line of time (past as memory echo/present moment/future as conception), so too is there an intersecting Vertical line which comprises an infinite amount of possibilities for every moment. If we stare into the face of pure unmanifest potential what does it look like? Lets turn for a moment to consciousness. Where is memory? Memory is a chaotic state of information, it is given form as it is pulled through the imaginative intelligence to be re-viewed in the inner sight on the holographic projection screen of imagination. It is accepted among the adepts that the All is Mind, that the Universe is Mental- held in the Mind of the All. Unfortunately, it is easy to misinterpret this and I am quick to say that it is offered as an analogy. All matter is composed of molecules floating about in space. The elements of those molecules is comprised of energy, which in its very order and processes demonstrate an undeniable intelligence. It is the same Light-Power that is consciousness. Consciousness is pure potential, the seed- the Acorn. It is within the field of consciousness that the visions are recieved. The same process is at work here as the process I described in Dream Gnosis/Imbas. When one prophecies the future s/he is tapping into the record banks of the azoth, the infinite living mind. Other seers who read the past are tapping into the collective subconsciousness, a facet of which is referred to as "genetic memory". Consciousness is the proof of our 'Being' and our desires are testament of our Free-Will. That Which Ultimately Is has given us the power to choose for ourselves. We can be co-creators or co-destroyers. It was necessary that I present that and I will elaborate this later as time permits, but for now I will continue. It is obvious what this all means. That the unhealthy doom and gloom is only a POSSIBILITY. A potentiality. The implication of this would be that the genuine prophet is really never "wrong". Therefore when we prophecy a negative event, we should begin working to change the forseen outcome, which we can do. We do this by changing our selves and our environment by ACTING upon it. In fact, time = change. Change is a universal constant. We change ourselves and our environment by being who we are and doing what we are. The fact that change is a constant is proof of the marvelous ability for ourselves and our environment to be transformed through action and choice. Druids, Bards, Vates, Brehons we uphold the truth, educate our society, and in our present day and age our fellows need our guidance more than ever. It is our sacred duty to learn, to become wise, to uphold truth- that we may benefit others. Certainly we have to look after ourselves, but balance necessitates that we equally look out for our brethren. Eliphas Levi said truly that We must Act in order to Be. When was the last time your actions had benefit for more than yourself? How often do your actions take away from another? We must be aware of these things, particularly if it is our intent to change a probable outcome to something else. We must Act for Change. One day the visions of our seers will be glorious, once mankind has become more mature. We have the power to help direct our world into the desirable futures, but more than that we have the power to guide our fellows into the maturity mankind desperately needs. |
