At an early age I developed an interest in mysticism (14 I think it was) and that set me on the path I walk today. In the early days I was more interested in studying esotericism than practicing, but that changed a few years ago.
I got my start with Israel Regardie's 'The Golden Dawn' at about 14 or 15, though it really began when I was about 6. A curious expirience changed my view of life dramatically. I was standing in the front lawn outside of the appartment we lived in then (my grandparents and myself) and looked up to the crown of a medium sized tree in front of me, and onward into the sky behind it. For a minute or two it felt as though everything was beautiful and divine. I still can't quite frame words for it even now, but though I couldn't really articulate it then, I was feeling the Divine in everything. That was 1983.
So anyway, alot of footsteps later and here I am. About 1996 I began practical work using books as my guide (primarily Regardie material). I had to cease around 1997 for reasons not neccessary to give. In 1998 I began again, and a friend of mine introduced me to a Qabalist, primarily Lurianic, who became (and is) both my friend and mentor. In 2002 I became a student of the Builders of the Adytum and am now dedicated to the local study group.
