Won't you join us on a small adventure?

Frater A. and his wife were enjoying their annual vacation at a local State Park and elected to wander up a Forest service road that had been securely padlocked against auto traffic.

About a mile along, the road came to a dead end at a site both of them recognized to be a functioning outdoor temple of indeterminate (but recent age). A great deal of care had gone into it's production: trees were felled and rolled into place, a stone altar was constructed and incised, other stations and positions within the temple were marked in various ways ranging from the piling of stones to the clever use of a stump. The panoramic pic below shows the temple from the southwest corner, just behind one of its entrances.

We noted that the construction was of a double-square design, seating arranged at the West, the whole oriented East to the compass, altar in the center. A few artifacts found about the place revealed fairly recent use. This view from the rear (perched on a rock for a better bird's eye) is taken facing East:

At the time, our only working camera was of the video variety so we shot a few yards of that, then vowed to return later for a still-photo shoot, which is where these photographs were taken.

Here, Magnus Po sprouts a small conifer from his crown chakra while Frater A. stands in an orange shaft of light, as is his habit.

Doctor Silver and Magnus Po practice the secret handshake of the 33-1/3rd degree of freemasonry.

We had of course found an outdoor masonic lodge, but a careful study of the place and the energies present clued us in to the fact that this was not it's only function. We reverenced the lodge again, after the manner of our practice, before leaving it.
