Brisbane based four piece Miles From Nowere was a huge hit with gangs of screaming, waving, dancing teenage girls who treated the Queenslanders like the stars they will soon be. In fact, this band were so successful at striking up some amazing four-part harmonies and Simon and Garfunkel inspired melody that audience members, regardless of age or gender, were wildly appreciative of everything the lads did. I was impressed by their ability to effortlessly, and with much tounge-in-cheek humour, switch from crystal clear folk pop (Central Park) to wonderfully trashy rock anthems such as Tattoo of You and the cheeky Brain in His Pants. The Band's undeniable vocal prowess was demonstrated to staggering effect in the acappela song My Girlfriend is Smarter Than Me. While watching Miles From Nowhere charm audiences with their groovy appearance, prodigious musicality and boisterous sense of humour, I was hit by a very persuasive premonition : these chaps are going to be HUGE! I wouldn't be surprised if Miles From Nowhere ends up dominating the charts by the end of this year!

Live at the Continental Review

This four-piece band from Brisbane brings a lot of fun to the music scene. Theyve nicely built up a solid following throughout Queensland and New South Wales in particular. It is now hoped that the whole country can embrace the unique style and flair from the band. Coupling terrific harmonies and individual strength in performance, this release showcases nine tracks recorded live at Melbournes fine Continental Caf. Its the appropriate setting for these guys to demonstrate their deft musical renditions. The songs are very well crafted and should appeal to anyone with pop/folk leanings. .
